Welcome to the Gold Court House Bed and Breakfast website

Anthea and Michael Hipwell have been looking after guests for more than twenty–five years. Our aim is to maintain a high standard of hospitality and service and look forward to having you to stay for bed and breakfast.
Gold Court House is a Georgian town house, rebuilt after the great fire of Wareham in 1762, on the foundations of a 13th Century house where the goldsmith lived. We can accommodate six guests in double or twin-bedded rooms, all with private bathrooms. The lovely walled garden adds a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere but St John’s Hill is close to everything in Wareham and the Isle of Purbeck.
Whenever you need accommodation, coming by car, train or bicycle for a holiday, business, touring or simply a weekend break, we are rarely closed, and here to help. Bed and Breakfast in Wareham is an ideal base for exploring beautiful Dorset and the magnificent Jurassic Coast – England’s first natural World Heritage Site.
Within short a distance, there is wonderful coastal and inland walking, cycling, ancient monuments, historical houses, gardens and excellent beaches. There are also the great and ever popular visitor centres: Monkey World and Bovington Tank Museum; such a wide choice for a restful or active holiday.
We are always pleased to help and advise on the places of interest and where to eat after a busy or relaxed day.
